in Fork Off, The Show

Since the Phillies are in the World Series it seemed only fitting to kick off our new segment, called ‘Fork Off,’ by pitting some Phillies themed baked goods against each other. Scott and Marisa taste cupcakes from Isgro’s, Termini Brothers, and Flying Monkey. Who makes the best cupcake in Philly? Find out!

I know it’s cliché but seeing as you guys are in Philly, you’re almost required to do a cheesesteak episode. The reason I suggest it is that when Beth and I were there in February, we obviously gravitated toward Pat’s (okay, I did; she just followed along) but we never got to try Gino’s, Tony Luke’s, or Jim’s, and honestly on our next visit it’s not like we want to have cheesesteaks for every meal but we do want to grab at least one…

Just putting it out there. Love the new format :-)

You guys are hilarious. I enjoyed your unabashed disdain for all things baseball. Personally, I’m now a Phillies fan since the Red Sox didn’t make it. Nice work with the cupcakes and witty banter!

Actually, we first thought of this format over the summer and the first topic we were going to cover was the cheesesteak. Sadly, that was during a Phillies game and all the cheesesteak places were PACKED so we couldn’t get anything to taste!
